A former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, has raised concerns over the current developments in the political space.

According to Jega, he has palpable fears about the outcome of the 2023 general elections.

He stated this while speaking at a colloquium organised by the Electoral Hub in Abuja on Wednesday.

Jega, however, expressed optimism that Nigeria will pull through the current challenges.

“I have a lot of fears about the outcome of the election. But you will see people like me are what I’ll call an incurable optimist about the future of our country.

“So I remain hopeful that in spite of the recklessness that we see, the vandalism that we see perpetrated by many of our so-called leading politicians, we are hopeful that people will mobilise and become effectively engaged in the electoral process, so that we have a good outcome in 2023,” Jega said.

Tinubu blueprint can be traced to all the hooligans and perpetrators of the widespread vandalism and violence campaign across the country. My disappointment is Buhari being complicit in all of Tinubu outright outlaws against opposition politicians.Buhari should do himself a favor and a very urgent favor to savage his battered legacy .Nigerians both home and in diaspora have felt the president lackluster and inefficient style of leadership. It has led many investors in the nation capital market to offload all assets related or transactions in the nation currency .This as a rerun has caused Nigeria a bogus economic losses .The APC led government inherited a much more robust economy under president Jonathan but few years of Buhari regime ,Nigeria has become a major investors burden. Buhari have only one choice now and that is admittance of failure in leadership of his party and he should correct the wrong by being bipartisan in the interest of Nigeria and in the interest of his own good .
