
The Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi stormed Maiduguri, Borno State on Saturday to drum support for his presidential aspiration.
Obi held his rally with sizeable number of people present.

Before the rally, he held a townhall meeting with the youths and paid homage to the Shehu of Borno in his palace.

He also held a townhall meeting with women in Maiduguri to solicit their votes and support.
Addressing the youths, Obi vowed to tackle the issue of poverty in the land and in Borno, charging the youths not to vote in the coming election in line with ethnicity.

“I know the problem of Nigeria, everybody today is suffering from poverty and that is what we want to tackle. Election coming up this year should not be about ethnicity, and tribe. Nobody buys food cheaper now, we want to solve this,” he said.
At the El-Kanemi Warriors Football centre, venue of the rally, thousands of supporters welcomed him to Borno.
Activist, Aisha Yesufu was at the rally where she addressed the audience in Hausa and English, telling them to vote right in the coming election for Obi.
