average man in our society todaY is trying to atleast to be an average wealthy man,
 nd the 99 % of women would eventually like to marry an average man it is clear
 time has gone when women will just marry cos of  u  re a village boi,etc

They would naturally have rich men around them and of course they would choose the best of them... I think it is the rich men go after then since men are the ones that do the pursuing generally and they choose the best, not many people would choose a poor/average person over a rich person. As to being shallow, I think its because most people, especially men, will give them a pass for many things so they may not have to work as hard as the average person because their beauty makes up for it.  I am not saying that all beautiful women are shallow, actually maybe not because they know people expect them to be dumb so they may try to prove them otherwise but generally they will get a pass for things an average person wouldn't. Plus people don't expect women to be smart anyway so if they know a little its enough.
