A former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chris Ngige, on Monday said he had not been picked as the running mate of the Action Congress of Nigeria’s presidential candidate, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
Ngige, in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Abuja, said he would contest the senatorial election in Anambra Central Senatorial District. He said the ACN caucus would meet in the next one week to decide on Ribadu’s running mate.
Ridadu had a few weeks ago picked Dr. Sunny Ugochukwu as his running mate. But there were reports on Monday that the ACN presidential candidate had changed his running mate and picked Ngige.
