Actress and sex educator Destiny Amaka has revealed that her role in promoting sex education has led to an increase in segxwal advances toward her. In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, Amaka explained, "It attracts more segxwal and inappropriate advances, but that’s what I’m here for—to change and educate people. Sex does not have to be vulgar or demonized. The more we openly discuss sex, the more control we will have over the narrative."

Despite her advocacy, Amaka clarified that she is unwilling to perform in sex scenes. She also shared the inspiration behind her sex education podcast, identifying herself as a segxwal health advocate. "People in Nigeria and Africa generally should be exposed to sex education and social empowerment," she asserted.

When asked about infidelity in marriage, Amaka stated she could only forgive a cheating husband due to the marital vows shared before God and if infidelity is not habitual. “I can’t stay with a ‘cheating husband.’ Women deserve peace of mind too,” she emphasized.

Reflecting on her recent experience in an action film, the actress noted, "Action films require more physical and technical strength. It was fun but I went home with bruises every night."

Amaka's commitment to sex education continues to shape conversations around segxwal health and empowerment, despite the personal challenges it brings.
