American singer and global music icon Beyoncé has expressed huge pride in her achievements, attributing her success to hard work and passion.
In an exclusive interview with GQ Magazine, where she graces the cover for its October issue, the 32-time Grammy-winning artiste reflected on her career and personal growth.
“I have paid my dues a hundred times over. I have worked harder than anyone I know. And now I work smarter,” Beyoncé shared.
The multi-award-winning singer stressed the importance of enjoying the fruits of one’s labor, noting, “In the end, the biggest reward is personal joy. Has what I created pushed others to think freely and believe in the impossible? If the answer to that question is yes, then that is the gift.”
Beyoncé, also known as “The Queen of Pop” by fans and critics alike, spoke passionately about her deep connection to music.
The ‘Brown Skin Girl’ singer revealed that music is an integral part of her life, stating, “It [singing] is one of the deepest joys of my life, a necessity as vital as breath. Without singing, without music, without creating, I would be a walking dead. Creating music isn’t work for me; it’s what I was born to do.”
At 43, Beyoncé remains a musical powerhouse, not only holding the title as the most-awarded person in Grammy history but also being recognized as one of the world’s best-selling music artistes.
