The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) launched a series of coordinated raids on Tuesday across various supermarkets and markets, including Wuse and Garki in Abuja.

In a post shared on its official X account, NAFDAC released still and motion images from the operation, detailing the agency's commitment to ensuring public safety by targeting the sale of unregistered and counterfeit cosmetic products.

During the raids, officials confiscated a significant quantity of counterfeit cosmetics with an estimated total street value of N37 million. This initiative is part of NAFDAC's ongoing efforts to eliminate counterfeit and illegally imported cosmetics from the markets of the nation’s capital.

The agency emphasized its dedication to investigating the sources of these illicit products and vowed to impose strict regulatory measures against those found complicit in their distribution.
