Veteran artist Charly Boy, has sharply criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), following his recent apology about his teachings on tithing.

According to reports, during the RCCG’s annual national youth convention at Redemption City, Adeboye admitted that his earlier teachings about tithes were not biblically accurate. He said:
“I am going to apologise for making a mistake for saying that if you don’t pay tithe, you will not be making it to Heaven. That is wrong. That is not in the Bible. What the Bible says is to make peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God.”

While Adeboye’s apology drew mixed reactions, Charly Boy was not impressed. He took to social media, stating that the apology “doesn’t mean shit” unless Adeboye promises to return the tithes he collected over the years.
In a fiery post, Charly Boy wrote:
Quote
“I truly believe that a lot of the fakest people are found in churches, my opinion not yours. Your apology doesn’t mean shit unless you promise to return the tithe money they give you for mumu people wey wan bribe dia way to heaven.”

He continued, criticizing what he views as hypocrisy in the church:
Quote
“Stop giving ur CONGREGATION ridiculous Lamba’s. Sometimes the nicest people you meet may have bodies covered with tattoos, the most bitter, judgemental, envious and wicked people all go to church on Sundays.”
Charly Boy also referenced a past statement from Adeboye, saying:
Quote
“Since your announcement decades ago, that people should trow away their TVs, I had always known that your way no pure as person wey dey ‘drink tea with God’.”

He further accused religious leaders of being insincere:
Quote
“There is nothing worse than a fault-finding finger-pointing Pastor who is as fake as the blings of a wanna-be artist. Apology? When you know exactly what you’re doing. Nonsense Dia Father’s.”

Charly Boy’s response has sparked further debate on the accountability of religious leaders and the impact of their teachings on their followers.

We should praise Pastor Adeboye for coming out and apologize for his mistake.  As a pastor and politician, If all the past President and Governors in Nigeria can come out like Adeboye and confess for the money they have stolen.  Nigeria will start to be better than it is now.  All other Politician like Adeboye should come out and confess with apology to Nigerian.
