The Federal Government, through the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has announced the suspension of all access gate fees at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The move, which takes effect from January 24, 2025, to February 7, 2025, is aimed at reducing the traffic congestion experienced by road users around the airport.
In an official statement released on Saturday, FAAN highlighted that the decision was made to alleviate the burden of traffic while ongoing construction work continues in the area. The authority further assured the public that efforts are being made to ensure smooth travel experiences despite the inconvenience caused by the construction activities.
“We deeply emphasise the need for understanding regarding the current construction, and we are committed to easing the travel experience for all road users during this period,” the statement read.
