
A woman was subjected to public humiliation after she was caught attempting to purchase goods with counterfeit money at a bustling market.
The incident, which has since gone viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), shows the woman standing in the middle of the marketplace as an angry crowd gathered around her, shouting and mocking her for the act.
In the footage, a market woman is seen holding up the fake currency to the camera, confirming that it was the note the suspect tried to use for payment.
Following the video's circulation online, social media users have flooded the comment section with mixed reactions, with some condemning the act and others expressing concern over the rising issue of fake currency in circulation.
