There is no doubt that sex related matters has been as generally acceptable as money! Everywhere on the radio, Tv, Cinema, etc.
Even here on naijapals forum, it is observed that people respond to sex and romance related jists than any other jist. And that could
be evidence that large number of people are sex addict. People hardly talk about chastity or morality in the society.
A survey in one Asian country revealed that the majority of 15- to 24-year-old males felt that premarital intercourse was not only
accepted but expected of them. Little wonder that throughout the world most young people have had sex before they reach 19 years of age.
What is the truth of premarital sex? And what about so-called alternatives to intercourse? Are they safe?
An authoritative answer to these questions can come only from our Creator and the creator of sex organs. In his Word he tells us
to “flee from fornication.” (1 Corinthians 6:18) Even the dictionary will define fornication for you. But if you try to live by that
scriptural principle, Others may ridicule you for taking such a stand, they may even say “‘You don’t know what you’re missing!" If
you fall into that trap It can cause lasting physical, emotional, and spiritual harm.
For example, each year millions of youths contact a segxwally transmitted disease (STD)
In fact, the threat of STDs (as well as HIV) is higher for females than for males. If a young girl becomes pregnant, she places
herself and her unborn child at further risk. Why? Because a young girl’s body may not have developed to the point of being able to handle childbirth safely.
Even if a teen mother escapes severe health consequences, she must still face the serious responsibilities that parenthood brings. such as fending for herself and for a newborn infant.
Then there are the spiritual and emotional aftereffects. King David’s segxwal sin endangered his friendship with God and nearly led to his spiritual ruin. (Psalm 51) And while David recovered spiritually, he suffered the consequences of his sin for the rest of his life.
Young ones today can suffer similarly. Such as being used and dumped, such emotional wounds can linger for years, causing stress
and heartache. Premarital sex can wound the conscience of a God-fearing youth, therefore, learn Self-Control
It is true that segxwal desires can be particularly strong during “the bloom of youth.” (1 Corinthians 7:36) In fact, teenagers may
experience sudden segxwal arousal for no seeming reason. But this is not something wicked. It is a normal part of the development of
the reproductive system.
It is also true that segxwal relations is designed to be pleasurable. But it was made for a purpose and it took effect after the first
human couple has been joined as one. (Genesis 1:28) It was never intended for us to misuse our procreative powers.
segxwal relations are a gift from God, and we will not show appreciation for that gift if we mis use it.
What should you do about your segxwal feelings? Put simply, learn to control them.
