There are some truth in your views. I agree with you but for a different reason.
I think President Jonathan will win because his opponents..Rabidu and Buhari will
split the majority votes from the North, thereby giving the victory to the president.
If both (Buhari and Rabidu) were on the same ticket, they would be hard to beat.
Lets see what happens in the next 48 hours.
