Tragidy Eighteen people Die in Auto Crash

No fewer than 18 persons Tuesday lost their lives in an auto crash which occurred at Sabon Wuse, along the Abuja – Kaduna express way in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The incident which was said to have occurred in front of the Government Girls College Sabon Wuse at 3am was as a result of a broken down truck that had been stationed at the spot for more than one week unattended to.
The Kaduna bound 18-seater bus from Lagos was said to have ran into the stationary truck which had been broken down in front of the Federal Road Safety Office immediately was gutted by fire killing all its occupants.
THISDAY gathered that angry youths in the area who claimed to have reported the case of the stationed truck which was partially blocking the road to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) without response took to the street protesting.
The irked youth were said to have burnt down the truck which caused the accident, FRSC’s office, one of the operations vehicles of the police (operation Zuma) who were at the scene of the accident for rescue operation and the 406 official vehicle of the Police Area Commander of Suleja, Mr. Mohammed Lemu.
At the time of filing this report, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Tuma Sylvanus Dalok could not be reached on any of his numbers neither was any of his men in the sector willing to speak to Journalists on the incident.

When the Niger State Police Public Relation Officer, Mr Richard Oguche was contacted, he confirmed the incident adding that investigation is going on to ascertain what led to the riot in the area.

He added that the Divisional police office in Sabon Wuse has already effected the arrest of the leader of the protesting youths, Abdulrazak Abdulkaseem and seven others for arson stating  that they will be charged to court.

The Director Medical Services of the Suleja General Hospital also confirmed receiving 18 bodies that had been burnt beyond recognition adding that the bodies have been deposited in the mortuary.

If they didn't touch the road safety office i would have been angry wif them. They should burn their individual houses(frsc officials) too, so that they do not neglect duties in future and cause pain and sorrow for others.
