While the couple made preparations for the last Christmas celebration, they were also secretly planning how to mark their anniversary which coincided with the Boxing Day.
But their dreams were shattered by members of the sect at...
St. Theresa Catholic Church on Christmas Day, December 25, 2011. Mrs. Eneh had gone to church on that faithful Christmas day, hoping to come home immediately after the close of church to prepare a special meal for her husband. She never made it back from the church alive.
Mrs. Eneh was among the unfortunate victims of that dastardly act which almost turned Nigeria upside down. For her husband, Emeka Okonkwo, who has become a widower barely one month into his marriage, life may never be the same again. He is bitter about the loss and pains inflicted on him and his family by Boko Haram and wonders when peace will ever return to Nigeria.
More terrible is the fact that Mrs. Eneh’s family were unable to recover her remains as she was believed to be among those burnt beyond recognition in the unforbomb blast... What a terrible way to end one’s sojourn on earth!
I think government should face this issue of insecurity squarely, not subsidy?
