Phocomelia is a form of birth defect in which the long bones in one or more limbs are missing or shortened. As a result, the entire limb is foreshortened. The limb may appear flipperlike, explaining the name, which is derived from the root words for “seal” and “limb.” This birth defect is quite rare. Children born with this condition may require surgery to address other abnormalities which sometimes occur concurrently with phocomelia.

It is really disgracing,,,,,Mr. Poster is this the only child in Nigeria born without arms and legs??? This just an innocent child you should try to imagine
how you would feel if it was yours. Worse displaying the child even without clothes to show how the baby looks Like.Shame on Naijapals.

You`r right, that was rude; very rude!
Nontheless, God gives child doesn`t mean we will give birth to a community of hopeless children knowing fully well you can`t afford their daily meal not to talk of health, clothing, shelter and most importantly education. Don`t bring innocent children to the world to suffer unnecessarily.

No, they had control over it. Yes, God gives children but they could have prevented it because 4 is enough. With all the poverty and corruption, how are they going to support this physically challenged child now?   I am not blaming them for the child's condition. I am only saying that having a "fifth" one was unnecessary. You can't tell me that this family is reach enough to support all those children.
