Due to incessant incidents of robbery around the Abuja airport, by men on commercial motor bikes popularly called "okada", the operations of okada were outlawed within the airport axis in Abuja.
On her line, since commercial operators were not allowed, staff must also not ride motor bikes around the airport.
Pointblanknews.com sources hinted that Oduah gave the order on her way to attend the burial of late Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu.
According to our source, Oduah became very angry when she arrived the airport, and spotted few motor bikes parked at the lot.
It was gathered that the minister immediately summoned the head of airport security, and querried the presence of the bikes.
The bemused head of security, it was learnt, told Oduah that they were not commercial motor bikes, but owned by staff who use them to commute to work.
The minister dismissed the claim, and insisted that the ban on okada affected all including staff. She then ordered that they be seized.
According to our source " she said no staff of the airport should ride his okada to work. She said we should get cars or use public transport. It was shocking because how much are we paid. Does she know that even with N18,000 minimum wage, you can't afford a decent motor bike"
