The governor made this known last week in Owerri, while inaugurating the Imo Traditional Rulers Parliament and Community Government Council.
According to sources in the state, Okorocha’s directive is one of the many ways the government is working to ensure that the native language and traditions do not go into extinction.
Meanwhile, Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri who was elected chairman of the State Council of Traditional Rulers was urged by the Governor to use the forum in promoting the ideals of Igbo culture and language.
Okorocha was also conferred with a traditional title of Eze Gburugburu of Ndigbo (ruler of all Igbo people).
