I am wondering whether you agree with the fact that times are changing and roles reversing?

Some people say gone are the days when the guys are expected to play the "Alpha" role in the relationship.

Girls are now asking guys out on dates and for their hand in marriage.

Is this a condone-able trend?

I think we get so hung up by cultural traditions and gender roles. PROPOSING IS NO ONES RESPONSIBILITY. Theres nothing wrong in a womanasking a guy out or proposing to a man. It doesnt mean the woman is desperate. If a man proposes to a woman does that mean he's desperate? How would some of you women feel if your dream is to get married and the man you love and want to marry haven't even asked you after a certain amount of years? Well keep waiting cuz he doesnt plan to. Women want to grow, want the right to vote like men, wear the pants and be treated as "equals" This is a new era and if we want to cop out of "tradition" then, woman stop voting, stop wearing the pants and be stay at home wives.  It's all or nothing. You either want to be seen as equals or you don't. And to me, being equal means we have THE RIGHT TO, and share the sane responsibilities and values IN ALL ASPECTS

So, what does the Poster think about that? I really do not see anything wrong in that except for men who have a serious dominance complex.
