9 NPFL stars listed against Kenya

Super Eagles head coach Stephen Keshi has picked nine out of the 24 invited players from the Nigeria Professional Football League for next Saturday’s World Cup cracker against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
Keshi said at lunch time on Sunday that the players who did not make the team will soon return to camp in preparation for some friendlies and the upcoming Confederations’ Cup in Brazil.
However, usual regulars like Chigozie Agbim, Sunday Mba, Azubuike Egwueke, Godfrey Oboabona and Gabriel Reuben are in the squad.
In a similar development, the Super Eagles and the technical crew will depart for Calabar today at about 10.00am.
Only NPFL stars are expected to make the trip to Calabar today according to team scribe, Dayo Enebi Achor.
