I am guessing I am not in tune with the dating tone of naija these days so wanted to throw out this question. I ask because I am surprised at many women i met in naija hold on to the concept of marriage like some cult doctrine. Mind you, I have nothing against marriage, it's good for a stable society and community but must it be a requirement? Am I just ranting to myself?

Hey to me Marriage is not necessary.... cos i have never think of getting married!!!!!! i think it reduces a Man's concentration,you wont be able to focus much on your self cos your think will now be for 2-3 pple(you,wife and probable pregnancy).
I think the best thing is just signing contracty with ladies and once thier contract expires find another one or renew the agreement with the recent one,try get children out of that and when you are coming to your old-age,just be alone with kids i mean make sure your wives are no more with you.
Just live your life with your kids.
Its superb.
I think that's the way i gonna live.

Is marriage a necessity to co-habitate and have kids?
its not a must that u need to get married....bur somehow,having a family of ur own is a necessity in life....something to look forward to....and in our culture,we do that thru marriage unlike the oyinbos or akatas who have families with no strings attached....i guess its all individual's opinion...
