In a press statement issued by its director of information, Mr. Uche Madu, and made available to LEADERSHIP, MASSOB argued that when the country was formed in 1914 the arrangement by the British authorities was on experimental basis to last for 100 years, saying that period would expire this year.
The group claimed that the document stating the country’s existence on experimental basis for 100 years was kept secret from the public, but said many political leaders in Nigeria were aware of the document, adding that it was what informed some political leaders making consistent comments on possible breakup of Nigeria.
“The amalgamation of southern and northern Nigeria by the British was to be experimented for 100 years to know if it would work or not,” it said.
