Singer Chris Brown has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and other illnesses, which all contributed to his anger management issues.

The Look at Me Now star appeared in court Friday for a hearing over his ongoing probation and a report from the rehab facility where he has just completed 95 days to deal with anger management issues says he is suffering from bipolar disorder, severe insomnia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD].

Legal documents seen by website TMZ state: “Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.”

The report goes on to state Brown has learned various relaxation exercises and tested negative for drugs during his stay in rehab and praises him, saying he gets up at 5am and works hard.

The report says: “Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities.”

Brown had been ordered to complete 90 days of treatment at the facility by a court, but stayed an extra five days to ensure he wouldn’t relapse.

Brown’s friends and family, including his mother Joyce Hawkins, then threw him a small homecoming party last Saturday night.

A source said: “He’s back home now and he feels good about it. After Chris left rehab, he headed to a music video shoot, where he broke out some impressive moves for his new single, Loyal.”
