Police Comm. Orders Release Of Man Whose Father-in-law Unjustly Arrested On Wedding Day

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, has ordered the release of Ugo Madugba, who was unjustly arrested by policemen of the Dolphin Police Division in Ikoyi for marrying his 28-year-old wife, Nono Orji, without the consent of her parents.

Nono had immediately took to her Facebook page to narrate the story of how her husband got to be arrested on the orders of her parents.



She said, “Marriage has become a crime in Nigeria according to Dolphin police station in Ikoyi.”
“Mr. Ugo got married to Dr. Nono a 28-year-old medical Doctor.”
“Her father has been very distraught about it and has used the police to threaten the young couple to the extent of arresting all those who acted as witnesses to the marriage who are now in custody."
Nono’s cry evidently received the attention of the right authority, as the police boss soon gave the order for her husband to be released.
According to Punch, Ugo confirmed the news of his release when he said, “I have been released and I am very grateful.”
Reports has it that Nono’s parents are of the belief that their daughter was hypnotised and forced into marriage by her husband.
It was based on this that the man was arrested, and was being prepared for criminal interrogation before the commissioner ordered his release.

its a vicious circle. If u think u can arm-twist and marry someone's daughter in corroboration with the said daughter, without the parents' consent, then it will come to you one day.
You guys really hurt the father. And you guys as parents are gonna be hurt in like manner...

poster you funny ooh, so the arrest na unjustly, nor worry I get only one prayer for you and those wey dey comment the yeye comments blaming the father of the girl because they are not in-law, stop using that word father in-law, somebody go come marry your own daughter without una concept and una sons go marry too on una behalf, them go use another man do papa on your behalf, make una say amen....

NO PARENTAL PERMISSION SHOULD BE NEEDED TO MARRY ANYBODY...WHAT THE phyuk IS WRONG WITH NIGERIAN PARENTS....If two people love each other ,let them decide whether they want to get married and bless that marriage without any reservation..its their life
