It was revealed during the trial that the woman had whispered into her daughter’s ear that her partner wished to have sex with her the night before her fifteenth birthday.
Judge Michael Shanahan, delivering judgement on the matter on Thursday said the woman's action was "a substantial break of trust from a mother to her daughter", as reported by News Mail Australia.
The Judge added that even though minimal violence was used the pair had threatened the girl to keep quiet about the rape and had badly traumatised her.
According to the judge, there was no difference between the mother actually molesting the girl herself, and holding her down for her boyfriend while he raped the teen.
The woman and her partner were found guilty of two counts of rape each, and were both sentenced to three years on one count and seven years on the second count to be served concurrently.
