PIL NIGERIA

PIL came into the Nigerian Market in September 2000 under the agency of Blue funnel, a division of Hull Blyth Nig Ltd.  It started with a staff strength of 38 persons, with 17,500 TEU imports and 3,150 TEU exports in its first year to now having over 70 members of staff with 70,000 TEU imports and 9,000 TEU exports per annum presently. Also having a port coverage in Nigeria in places like Apapa, Tincan-Island, Warri, Calabar, Onne and Port-Harcourt.

For clearing agents, effecting release from PIL is quite easy compared to other shipping lines in Nigeria. once draft payment is made at Guaranty trust bank (GT bank), you can then proceed to their office where you submit relevant documents to get your DO ( delivery order). Though you might go at some times where the queue is long but still, getting your DO is quite easy here.

CMA CGM

CMA CGM was established as a shipping line in Nigeria (precisely Lagos) in 2007 and also operate in Onne. They are part of the CMA CGM worldwide network. They have a strong coverage in more than 150 countries.

Although CMA could be a little bit manual in some things they do, but it’s a hassle-free place where you can go and get things done quickly. Shipping charges can also be paid in form of drafts at Guaranty trust Bank (GT bank). After that you tender the right documents required to get your DO (delivery order). If you a customer who ships regularly through CMA, you can be placed on VIP status where you don’t even have to queue.

Thank you so much for this post! I often order something delivered in both directions, and I also send my goods as parcels to other countries (even to China). I often have to check exactly how my delivery occurs because it is not always right to trust such a courier. I don't know what I would do without GPS. He makes my life a lot easier. I don't have to contact everyone personally. I can remotely check the status of the parcel, as well as its location. I found orange connex tracking for my parcels in China. I was not familiar with such services before, so this was my first experience.
