A Nigerian musician named St. Chika has made the country proud. He has ensured that Nigeria’s name is firmly placed in the record books.

The gospel musician released a song titled Power In The Name Of The Lord and the song lasts for 4 hours, 2 minutes and 4 seconds. This means his song has broken the official Guinness World Record for the longest officially released song. That record was earlier held by Dominican Republic rapper Henry G whose song lasts for 3 hours, 26 minutes, 22 seconds.

Although St. Chika’s song has not been officially recognised by Guinness World Record, it is generally agreed that he has broken the record.

St Chika is a 28-year old graduate of Physics from University of Lagos. He began recording the song on Sunday, May 20th and finished on Thursday, May 24, 2018. The song was produced by Crisace Andrea and Nwaogu himself. It also cost N200,000 to make.
