Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has escaped death in the hands of security operatives who allegedly fired teargas at him.
earlier reported that security operatives blocked the government house, in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state, a development which created tension among residents of the area who scuttled to safety.
It was gathered that the armed operatives fired gunshots into the air and released teargas.
Lere Olayinka, Ekiti State Governor's Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, took to his verified Twitter page to update the governor's supporters and Nigerians on the latest incident.
He wrote: "#Ekiti2018 Update
Gov Fayose, a few minutes ago escaped plot to assassinate him by Fayemi and his APC.
He is currently receiving treatment at govt house clinic after he was hit by teargas canister fired by the policemen.
The armed policeme still laying siege at the Govt House."



Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti has taken to twitter to allege there’s currently heavy shooting in front of Ekiti State house and said the shooting was carried out by mobile policemen brought in by APC. He also showed a photo of what the scene looks like. See that below…
Already Ekiti is ‘boiling’ politically as the citizens will in just 3 days elect a new Governor.

Good  for the Executive Criminal Governor. Imagine as governor attempting to ban the President and Commander In Chief of the Nation's Armed Forces from visiting a State under his Control.  This Bsbalawo is just trying to create some confusion that would allow him perfect his Disappearing Act once again,  now that his immunity is about to expire,  and would force him to answer his uncompleted Fraud cases..
