On Friday, news emerged from social media platforms loyal to the main opposition party - Peoples Democratic Party that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC had frozen the bank accounts of the PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, singer Davido and that of 5 other people.
The led to massive criticisms of the EFCC and the All Progressives Congress-led administration which was tagged 'dictatorial'.
Dele Momodu, a journalist with almost three decades of experience corroborated the false report which the EFCC later debunked. The founder of the Boss Newspaper later humbly admitted that he was misled by a source.
