Who is the Pope?

Is he supposed to be the holiest man? Is he supposed to be the link between man and God? Is he supposed to be like the CEO of the Catholic Church? Is he supposed to follow the teachings of the Bible? Or does he has his own doctrine? People bow and pay homage to him and he in turn bows and pay homage to statues (last week in Fatima, Portugal). I am confused.

the person that is asking Who is the Pope?  is not in order at all.because is not possible to ask yourself whom you are?

IM A CHRISTIAN, & THE POPE IS NOT A LEADER OF ME. WHO I FOLLOW IS,  JESUS CHRIST MY LORD, ND SAVIOR..  HE WANTS TO B JESUS, JESUS IS THE ONE WHO DIED FOR ALL OF US 2 BAD FOR THE UNBELEVERS FOLLOWING AFTER MAN, IT WILL B SHOWN UP IN THE TIME OF JUDGEMENT, WHO HE REALLY IS....  MARY IS WORSHIP'D THERE, OVER JESUS.
