The Nigerian football league has witnessed a tragedy as one of its football players. Chieme Martins who plays for Nasarawa United slumped and died after colliding with a Katsina United player during a league game on Sunday, 8th March 2020. Chieme could have been saved but for the unavailability of a standby ambulance at the stadium where the match as being played. a make-shift Peugeot 406 was converted into an ambulance to eventually rushed the injured player to the hospital but he could not make it as the help came a little too late. Gistmania has been able to obtain an exclusive footage where Chieme's team mates could be seen wailing and weeping over his demise, you can see the video below. May his soul rest in peace.
