#ENDSARS: Gen Hamed Taiwo Reveals Army Is Unhappy, Sanwo-Olu Denied Inviting Military To Lekki

The Commander of 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island, Lagos, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Taiwo, says the Nigerian Army is unhappy the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, denied inviting the military on October 20, 2020, when soldiers shot at peaceful protesters at the Lekki tollgate.

Taiwo said this on Saturday, November 14, 2020, in his testimony before the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry probing the Lekki incident.

The general, however, said inviting the military was the best decision the Lagos governor could have made as the #EndSARS protest plunged the state into anarchy but added that the Army was also unhappy that Sanwo-Olu said two persons died from the military engagement at the Lekki tollgate.

 A very nervous and unstable Governor. Thank God he is on many media narrating, or implicably accepting he invited the Army. Atanyrate, the President and Commander In Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, has the Constitutional Power to intervene in any part if the Country wherer any breakdown of Law and Order is imminent. President Obasanjo did it in Kaduna 2001, when the then Acting Governor was asleep while Kaduna was boiling.
