Penalty misses from Marcus Rashford, Jordon Sancho and Bukayo Saka sent England crashing out of the finals of the Euro 2020.
England resorted to defending an early lone goal after going in front though a beautiful volley by Luke Shaw in the second minute of the game. The dominance of the English side gradually waned out as the game grew. The Italians drew confidence from several sloppy plays and general fatigue showed by the English side and were able to get the game into penalties. It was not meant to be as Italy emerged victorious in the penalty shootout. Congratulations to Italy for a spirited and confident display.
