Nigeria's Ese Brume has won the bronze medal in the female long jump event at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics event - Nigeria's first overall medal in the entire event.
Team Nigeria have been let down from the administrative side by a very lacklustre preparation by the athletics federation who had forgotten to file in their paper works around mandatory drug testing on time. This meant that around 10 athletes were disqualified from the event, dimming Nigeria's already slim hope of a medal.
The final results for the medal roll in female long jump event was:

First place: Malaika Mihambo Flag of Germany - 7.00m
Second place: Brittney Reese Flag of United States - 6.97m
Third place: Ese Brume Flag of Nigeria - 6.97m
