Former presidential media aide, Reno Omokri, has unloaded on President Muhammadu Buhari.

Omokri, who worked under former president Goodluck Jonathan, became a vocal government critic after Buhari defeated his boss in 2015.

Omokri, in social media post on Wednesday, showered encomiums on late rapper Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi, a.k.a. Sound Sultan, for participating in last October’s anti-police-brutality protests.

Sound Sultan, who succumbed to ill health must have known about his medical condition as of the time of the protests, Omokri said.

Omokri then criticised President Buhari for embarking on medical trips to treat his ailments while Nigerians grapple with crumbling healthcare structures.

And to think that Sound Sultan knew about his health condition, yet he sacrificed his comfort to fight for the common man. What an uncommon man,” Omokri wrote.

“Buhari was sick and he ran to London for six months. In a similar situation, this young man (Sound Sultan) chose to associate with the people.

“Whenever a sane regime rises to power, this photo should be put on Nigeria’s stamp,” he wrote, sharing a photo of Sound Sultan at the protests.

Omokri’s comments came as Nigerians marked the first anniversary of the demonstrations at the Lekki Toll Plaza where soldiers allegedly shot peaceful protesters on October 20, 2020.

The Nigerian government insists its security agencies did not attack protesters.

Don't mind that man jare.  He was the one who said no ruling class will go for medical treatment abroad yet he was the first to go; negating his own rules.
