celibate...let me think....celibacy is for a period of time, a day, 2 days, a month, a yr...or 10yrs and beyond....but what is certain is, its not for ever...

Reason might be any of these:

You are not loving anyone right now

The one u love is far away

Depression

Sickness

In a relationship crisis and is yet to be solved

Self conviction on religion

Could be caused by both points you mentioned and also more, it differs from people who choose to be that. Some can be caused by lack of time to get to know another, segxwal abstentions, religious vow not to marry or bad experience from past relationships. it depends on what makes one to be a Celibate. still it doesn't mean they don't like to have inter-course  Grin of course, they do want to.
