APC Adopts Ahmed Lawan As The Consensus President Candidate For APC

All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has announced Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan as the party’s consensus candidate.

This is coming as the party begins its presidential primary election in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

Adamu was said to have made the announcement at the meeting of the National Working Committee.

Other aspirants including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Engr. David Umahi would be allowed to participate in the election despite consensus.

Crisis has hit the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the announcement of Senate President Ahmed Lawan as consensus presidential aspirant by the national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.



Adamu made the announcement at the meeting of National Working Committee (NWC) on Monday in Abuja.

Other aspirants including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Dr. Kayode Fayemi and David Umahi, among others will however be allowed to contest the primary at the convention holding tomorrow at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

Incorrect news, pro PDP site. Chairman Adamu announced him as the person he considered should be the consensus candidate. Since Adamu's announcement, the Norther APC governors' forum, the NWC and PMB have ALL emphasized that the ticket must go to a southerner. Shocked
