The Badly Doctored Audio Was Released By Our 'Nnewi Prodigal Brother' - Peter Obi's Aide

Valentine Obienyem, a media aide to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP has said the leaked audio of his principal’s conversation with the General overseer of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, was doctored.

Obienyem also claimed ‘our Nnewi prodigal brother’ is responsible for the leak.

He said that the person responsible for the leak, edited the part where Obi stated that Nigeria needs religious balancing, which led to the discussion with the clergyman.

In the audio clip, Obi seemed to be urging Oyedepo to encourage Christians to vote for him.

“Daddy, I need you to speak to your people in the South-West and Kwara, the Christians in the South-West and Kwara. This is a religious war,” Obi allegedly said in the trending audio.

But in a post on Facebook this Sunday, Obienyem said: “The badly doctored conservation with Bishop Oyedepo released by our Nnewi prodigal brother is the much they have discovered so far.

“They edited out the Muslim-Muslim ticket that led to the discussion, where Obi said that in a society like ours, religious balancing was a necessary consideration and that their recklessness had made Christians to assume it was a religious war.”

The All Progressives Congress, APC, fielded a Muslim-Muslim ticket, with Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

Waste of time. No weapon formed or fashioned against Peter Obi will ever prosper. He is clean. Unlike Tinubu who is shrouded in mystery. Always getting people confused with abracadabra birthday. What is your real name...He doesn't know. Who are your parents...He doesn't know. When were you actually born....He doesn't know. Where were you born...He doesn't know. Your  state of origin...He doesn't know. Which primary school did you attend...He doesn't know. Secondary school...He doesn't know. Bro, all the politics aside, because really, I'm not interested, but on the other issue, like for real you sincerely believe that Christians are more in number than Muslims in Nigeria?? Really?? Haha. A Muslim man marries 3wives and has at least 15 children. In fact there are many with 4wives and over 20children. See, there are men, I mean single man that has over 60, 70 children, one man. There are men, many of them, whose children and grandchildren are in hundreds. My own grandfather had over 50 children. I have thousands of cousins. I'm not interested in politics and all the banter and insults going on really, but bro, even Christians that want to be sincere know that the number of Christians in Nigeria is no where near the number of Muslims.
