A cabbie has narrated the terrifying moment he was attacked and beaten to a pulp by a rider who booked his cab in Ibadan, Oyo State.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday, July 14, 2023, in Kuola area of Ibadan.
According to the cabbie, identified simply as Tizza, the rider booked him for N3700, however, the rider was later joined by his friend who was going to a different location.
The cabbie told the rider he will have to pay more than the N3700 requested by the app if he was going to drop his friend off at his location.
Tizza said there was a bit of an argument, however, they proceeded on the trip. Upon arrival at his home, the rider transferred just the amount the app requested and didn’t add anything for his friend as requested by Tizza.
“Then I dropped from my car and opened the gate to the house to call his notice to the money he sent, that it was not our agreement not to add to the fare, then next action was the guy started harassing me.
He h£ld my hand to the back and started strnggling my neck till I was finding it difficult to breathe,” Tizza said…
In the video obtained, blood was dripping from his mouth and nose and his face was very swollen.
