A Benin fan of Nigerian singer Rema has taken to Twitter to defend the musician after he was accused of performing with a demonic mask at his 02 concert. Many even alleged that Rema has joined illuminati following his performance with the mask. Rema who broke his silence said the mask could be traced back to his roots in Benin.

A Nigerian fan with the handle, Edocentric_ took out time to defend the singer and wrote: “Queen Idia Mask/REMA isn’t demonic; as a matter of fact, she is a national hero to Nigeria and the Benin Kingdom. She lived in the 15th century. She was the first Edo woman to go to war. She defeated a giant for a son to become king She was the first queen mother in Benin.”
