An 80-year-old bricklayer has been rescued from poverty.
This comes after Nigerians donated N17.9M to him for being hardworking.
The man had gone viral after he was spotted doing the menial and hard task of bricklaying.
The video surfaced online and many people felt emotional for the old man who many opined should be resting at such age.
Many people decided to contribute money towards getting better living conditions for the old man.
It is gathered from a post made by a Twitter user known as @Justkingss that a total of N17.9M was able to be raised by kindhearted Nigerians.
A photo he shared shows the elderly man who was visited by some charitable individuals.
The post read:
