Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, was seen kneeling to greet President Tinubu during a visit to the Presidential Villa earlier today, March 7.

The unusual display of deference by Governor Bago, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has drawn both praise and criticism from various quarters.

Picture of the moment quickly went viral on social media platforms, with many Nigerians expressing differing opinions on the act.

What is wrong in his act of respect?
Nothing at all. I respect him so much for doing this.
He doesn't look st the fact President Tinubu is not from my ethnic group.
Kudos to him

This are the type of people i fear most. As soon as Tinubu leaves office, he'll be the first to critizes him.
