
The Osun State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the weekend arrested a 65-year-old man, Dauda Lamidi over possession of substance suspected to be marijuana.
The Public Relation Officer of the Command, Charles Odigie disclosed that the suspect, who was an ex-convict over similar crime was arrested during a motorized patrol in Iwo area of the state.
According to him, the suspect was nabbed with dried substance suspected to be marijuana weighing 1.550kg stuffed inside two 4litres gallon.
“The command operatives, while carrying out motorized patrol in Iwo on Saturday, March 22, 2024, intercepted one Dauda Lamidi, 65, with dried weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa inside two engine oil gallons which weighed 1.550 kg.
“Dauda, an ex convict was convicted for the same offense in 2019 for three years”, he said.
