The air was filled with jubilation in the Apata community of Oworo District, Lokoja Local Government Area, Kogi State, as residents celebrated the long-awaited arrival of triplets to the royal family of Oba Fredrick Balogun and his wife, Olori Teniola-Faith.
The joyous news came in the early hours of Monday when the Olori delivered the triplets at the Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Kogi, marking the end of a 17-year wait for the couple.
Reports from the Palace of Olu of Apata revealed scenes of exuberant praise singing and dancing as the community joined in celebrating the blessing bestowed upon the royal family.
Expressing his elation, Oba Fredrick Balogun described the birth of the triplets as a testament to the faithfulness of God. He expressed gratitude for the support received from family, friends, the Apata community, and the hospital management.
"This is a day of immense joy and gratitude for our family. The arrival of these precious gifts from God after years of waiting is truly remarkable," the traditional ruler remarked.
He continued, "We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the good health of both the queen and the newborn triplets. It is indeed a double blessing for us."
The Elsho of Apata, Ayodele Rufus-Balogun, echoed the sentiments of the community, emphasizing the significance of the triplets' birth as a blessing not only to Apata but to the entire Oworo district and Kogi State at large.
"The birth of these triplets is a monumental blessing to our community and beyond. The joy and jubilation among our people are palpable, and we are profoundly grateful to God," he said.
As the Apata community continues to celebrate this remarkable event, the birth of the triplets serves as a beacon of hope and joy for residents and signifies the dawn of a promising year ahead.
