On Tuesday, a woman collapsed while trying to extinguish a fierce fire at Dosunmu Market in the Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State.

SaharaReporters reports that four buildings were razed by the fire.

Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), in a statement on Tuesday, said the agency received a distress call around 11 am on Tuesday.

Oke-Osanyintolu said no death or injury was recorded at the scene of the fire outbreak.

He, however, added that a woman collapsed while trying to put out the fire, and was promptly treated by paramedics from the LRU Pre-Hospital Care Unit at the incident scene.

He said the woman was later moved to Marina General Hospital for continued medical care.
