In a significant bust, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested Mrs. Theodora Ita, a 40-year-old widow and mother of two, for her involvement in the production and sale of a lethal new psychoactive substance (NPS) known as 'Combine.'
The arrest took place on Monday, April 8th, following an investigation into the illicit drug trade. Mrs. Ita was apprehended with 18 liters of the dangerous substance stored in used paint drums. She confessed to initiating the production and distribution of the illicit drug in October 2023.
According to Femi Babafemi, the spokesperson for the NDLEA, the 'Combine' mixture consists of various strains of cannabis, including Colos and Loud, combined with opioids and soaked in raw gin. Babafemi issued a stern warning to the public about the severe health risks associated with consuming this deadly concoction.
In a post shared on social media platform X, Babafemi emphasized the dangers of 'Combine,' describing it as a direct assault on the body's organs. He urged individuals to exercise caution and vigilance, highlighting the alarming health hazards posed by the substance.
The arrest of Mrs. Theodora Ita underscores the NDLEA's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect the public from the dangers of illicit substances. The agency remains committed to identifying and apprehending individuals involved in the production and distribution of harmful narcotics across the country.
