The current bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah, has stated that those Nigerian congregants whose pastors prophesied that they would sing a new song should go ahead to learn the new national anthem.
He jokingly stated this while speaking at a public function.
Kukah said;
‘’For those of you whose pastors told you in January, the beginning of the year that by the grace of God you will sing a new song, now learn the national anthem''
President Tinubu on May 29, 2024 signed a new bill reintroducing the old National anthem.
