
In a heartbreaking incident on Friday morning, the two-storey building of Saint Academy in the Busa Buji community of Jos North LGA collapsed, trapping more than 70 students and staff.
Witnesses described a scene of chaos as the peaceful school environment was shattered by the collapse. Rescue teams have been working tirelessly, managing to pull dozens of injured individuals from the debris and rushing them to nearby hospitals. Tragically, over 20 students have been confirmed dead so far.
The collapse occurred while students were taking exams, adding to the chaos and urgency of the rescue operations. Security personnel, including soldiers and police, are on-site assisting with the efforts to locate and save those still trapped.
