The Senate and the National Council for Women Society have advocated for the inclusion of domestic servants in the proposed N70,000 National Minimum Wage Scheme.

This appeal was made during a public hearing on a bill that aims to establish an Act for the Domestication and Registration of domestic workers and employers in Nigeria.

The inclusion of domestic servants in the minimum wage scheme is seen as a significant step towards ensuring fair labor practices and improved working conditions for this often-overlooked segment of the workforce.

Recall that President Tinubu and the Nigerian Labour Congress agreed on N70,000 minimum wage

COLONIAL MENTALITY.
Using poorer family members to serve the same family who deem themselves better off financially!
