Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has donated N15 million to the family of the slain Sarkin Gobir of Gatawa District Alhaji Isah Bawa. He also donated 20 bags of rice, 10 bags of millet and 10 bags of maize to them.
The governor, represented by his deputy Idris Gobir, announced the donations when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Sabon Birni. Aliyu described the monarch’s death as a great loss not only to the local or state government but to the entire nation.
He said the late District head has played a significant role towards ensuring peace and uni – ty within his domain. He lamented the circumstances that led to Isa’s death.
