The Delta Police Command has arrested a young man identified as Isaac for falsely accusing some police officers of stealing his phone (Samsung fold 4) while conducting their stop and search duties.
In a video shared on social media, the Delta state Police Public Relations officer, Bright Edafe, on Thursday, October 24, said an incident involving a man named Isaac was reported. According to Edafe, the young man was stopped by the police and after a proper search, he was allowed to go as nothing incriminating was found on him.
"We are just doing our job, I dont know why someone who was searched and asked to go will choose to come back intentionally to implicate the Police. He knew the samsung Phone (fold 4) was with his friend, he told his friend to deny knowledge so he can accuse the policemen of taking it" he said
The police spokesperson however disclosed that both of them would be arraigned in court soon.
